I’ve been a huge fan of the Big Band sound as far back as I can remember…even before Country Music became my professional way-of-life.  When I heard Tom Houston’s fantastic “works,” the Big Band sound became even bigger!  I was absolutely knocked out when I heard your version of my “Drinking Champagne.” Tom, you have one of the greatest bands I’ve ever heard.  Thanks again for one of the highest honors ever paid to me and my song.

Thank you ever so much for sending along the Tom Houston Orchestra "Tuxedo Country" CD. Also a big thanks for having Tom sign the CD. It was really appreciated.

I will be using seven of the cuts on my "Swingin' West" radio shows. As you know "Swingin' West" is a Western Swing show and I will use all of the Western Swing cuts. Personally, I love the big band sound as it was there all those many years along side Western Swing. In fact, for about 10-15 years I was the MC for the Fairfield Counts a 20 piece Miller/Ellington or Dorsey type band with a vocalist. Tom and his orchestra got this sound down perfectly and it is really special to hear him do that sound on the Western Swing and country standards. A super album!

Again, thanks for remembering me and my "Swingin' West" listeners and good luck with the "Tuxedo Country" CD.

To celebrate the complete restoration of a WWII P-40 Warhawk fighter airplane which would be shipped to the RAF Museum, England, and to host R.R.S. Aviation’s hangar “Open House,” I contracted the Tom Houston Orchestra to perform for our friends and business associates.

In keeping with the era and location, they appeared on time wearing khaki WWI dress to blend with the setting. 

His band performed all of the “Big Band Sounds” to which our 300 plus guests danced and listened to for approximately 3 hours. 

Since their appearance, we have had many community requests for  their return to be an annual affair.  Tom Houston and his band will be invited to play again for us and I would recommend them for any function.  You will be pleased!
